The Universal Audio 1176 Studio Compressor pedal offers the iconic sound of the world's most famous limiting amplifier, here based around the UAFX engine in a compact package.

Like a true hardware 1176 unit, this Universal Audio pedal features controls for Input and Output gain, Attack, and Release. As opposed to push button operation, the 1176 pedal features a variable ratio control. The user can select between no compression, 4:1, 8:1, 12:1, and 20:1 ratios - just as found on a true 1176, as well as the "All" mode with captures the popular "All Buttons In" studio trick possible with the push-button ratio selection of 1176 hardware.

A three way toggle selects between Single, Dual, or Sustain modes. Single mode delivers standard 1176 compression, perfect for subtle squish or funky disco squeeze. Dual mode is styled after a studio technique captured by the late, great Andy Johns - two 1176 units configured for a direct distortion sound. Sustain mode is another variant of two 1176 compressors set for maximum sustain, ideal for slide guitar among other styles.

An interactive LED changes between green, amber, and red colors indicating the response of the compression circuit.

On the back of the 1176 Studio Compressor are single mono input and output jacks, selectable true and buffered bypass, and selectable Parallel mode, which is a blend of dry and compressed signals best utilized when a user wants a more natural compression sound.

The 1176 has never been as truly replicated - and by the company that invented it - at a modest three-figure price point.

This will work but prep is key!
I have an older RV that the gelcoat has dulled and is oxidized, but otherwise in good shape. I have buffed and polished in the past only for it to last a short time. I was looking up different products to try and this one has such good reviews, I thought I would give it a try. I bought the kit with the Poliglow and the Poliprep, with the scrubber and the microfiber glove. I started with the poliprep and it did a great job of gettting the streaks and black marks off. You spend a lot of time scrubbing to your likeness because anything that is still on the gelcoat when you apply the poliglow, it will be locked in there. The Poliglow is like a clearcoat that goes over the gelcoat. You have to build up layers and here are some of the tips and tricks I figured out that really helped my finished RV look great. First, make sure the applicator stays damp, this keeps the poliglow more uniform across the glove. Also, stick it in a zip lock bag when not using, you do not want it to dry out while you are using it. I found out that applying this in direct sunlight in warm temps, is the best method. This allows the poliglow to dry really fast. The first 3 or 4 layers will look streaky and dull but this is ok and as you build up the layers, the shine will come back. I found if you do this when its cooler, the layers do not dry as quick and you will get some permanent streaking or running. I had to remove a section I did in the evening because I noticed this. When in direct sunlight, this gave me the best results with no streaking or running. It dries fast and you can keep working. Like it says, do not do big sections at a time, keep it to small what you can reach sections and build those up and move on. As far as how much to buy? I have a 40 ft toy hauler and I got to kits and I had just enough to finish the whole thing minus the nose cap. I have Durabak on the nose cap, so I dont need to worry about that. I ended up buying one more bottle of the poliglow to have for my maintenance coats. Overall, I am pleased with how my 10 year old RV looks and other than some of the decals show age, it looks new again. If I were to buy a new RV, I would put this on right away and preserve the whole RV including the decals. Its not too expensive and its a lot of work, especially the prep, but it does end up with great results.

Excellent shine
Excellent line of products. Looking at the picture, you can see what the camper looked like before the Poli Glow. To the left of the window is the after Poli Glow. It takes some elbow grease (follow instructions well) but well worth it.

Camping enthusiast approved
One bottle covered my 20ft camping trailer 4 coats and with a little remaining for future touch ups. It definitely increases the gloss. I'm glad I didn't waste my time with wax. This is like an easy wipe on clear coat. I will report back in the future for longevity.

great product and leaves a great shine. The Poli Glow doesn't go as far as the video states and it depends on condition of RV, boat...This is a great product but takes more to get a great shine!!
